Be Wise When Choosing Your Beliefs  "Be brave and take accountability for your thoughts and beliefs." Jennifer Hyman What do you believe? Imagine this, everything you see in the world is your reflection.  Because you are continually living in the world, you are thinking of. Belief is when you confirm something in your mind and also confirm it in your heart.  If what you are experiencing is not to your liking, start to focus on what brings you joy. This life seems to be complicated, but it’s straightforward. Eliminate things in your life that does not resonate with your core beliefs.   As I continue to learn new things, I will always gravitate to that which fills my heart.  I have found a remarkable prayer, that originated in Hawaii, and it’s what I believe in. It’s a part of my life, and that’s what keeps me at peace.  That’s my belief, and I love the way I feel when I meditate and connect with divinity. I encourage you to find th...

Fear, The Self Created Feeling  "The eagle has no fear of adversity. We need to be like the eagle and have a fearless spirit of a conqueror!" Joyce Meyer The topic nobody wants to face, yet we face it all the time.  Having fear is debilitating, sometimes embarrassing yet it happens.  Fear is a self-created feeling that takes control of our minds and our bodies.  Analyze it; it’s perceived reality, you think that it’s real, but it’s not. It’s your mind taking you into a negative output that’s not even happening.   Fear is a topic very dear to me, I have struggled with it practically my entire adult life, wait I’ll go as far back as my teenage years.  A long time, I was afraid of everything. I finally learned that I had control of my thoughts, and that meant that I overcame fear. It took me a long time; however, it was worth the process.  Through research, study, and practice, I made it happen. You might ask, “you don’t fear an...

It’s Ok To Let Go There are many reasons why we need to let go of people or situations.  For many of us, it kills us not to be able to handle the letting go.  However, I’m here to share with you that it’s ok to let go.  Losing people come in many forms, a bad breakup, the death of a loved one, removing someone from your life because of the toxicity, but it’s all the same one significant loss. Sure, you will be sad because you are human and have feelings, but the sooner you realize that you are not your emotions, you can soon feel better and more alive. I’ve had my share of losses in my life, from the death of a loved one, my dear brother, Jesus.  Breakups, friends that decided not to be around anymore, and the times I’ve had to let go because it was the right thing to do.  It hurts.  Are you reading this and hurting because you are alone? I get you. However, I want to share with you how I handle letting go and opening up to new possibilities wi...

"Good, better, best. Never let it rest. 'Til your good is better and your better is best." St. Jerome Find Out What Kept My Heart Beating This Past Week As I evolve and reinvent myself, I will continue to grow.  The reason why I know I’m developing is because I am resilient, and personal development runs through my veins.  There’s a couple of things that surfaced this week that showed me my real passion, sharing, teaching, and coaching. I got excited about the opportunity to share and teach everything I’ve learned along the way.   If you don’t know, I’m currently working with a fantastic organization Orangetheory Fitness in Franklin Tennessee, but I have realized that what brings me my ultimate happiness is who I work for.  More on that another day. I have to admit I love what I’m doing, and what I’m doing is bringing brand awareness to the community, in other words, meeting great people daily. I’m bringing into the mix everything that I have learned ...

Having More Fun Is Absolutely Good For You "Even though you're growing up, you should never stop having fun."Nina Dobrev Do you often find yourself so stressed and overwhelmed that you stop doing things that you enjoy? Today’s Treasure is all about Having Fun. We will explore why finding balance and finding the time to do the things that are fun and enjoyable are good for us. I always could have fun and do things that bring me joy. However; there are times like the past couple of weeks when my dad became ill, and I was so far away that I was unable to help my brother with the logistics of caring for my mom and staying at the hospital to keep my dad company. I retreated and felt as if I was unable to enjoy myself no matter what I tried to do. I realized how important it is for any human being to experience fun as much as possible. Doing the research for this post, I came across the reasons why we should always have fun in our lives and the positive health benefi...

How To Accomplish A Project With The Slight Edge “There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is the definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.” Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich Is there something you want to accomplish? But, you can’t find yourself even to start. Today’s treasure is about putting into practice the Slight Edge. The only way to excel is to learn, and then to grow, you must put into practice everything you learned. I tend to get overwhelmed quickly. I have been on this personal development journey for quite some time now, I want to say for over ten years. My biggest challenge has always been my limiting beliefs and finishing my projects. I had the gift of coming up with great ideas, implementing them, but then I never completed what I started. I needed help. I found relief by putting into practice what I learned from the book, The Slight Edge written by Jeff Olson, I e...
