How To Accomplish A Project With The Slight Edge

“There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is the definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.” Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich

Is there something you want to accomplish? But, you can’t find yourself even to start. Today’s treasure is about putting into practice the Slight Edge. The only way to excel is to learn, and then to grow, you must put into practice everything you learned.

I tend to get overwhelmed quickly. I have been on this personal development journey for quite some time now, I want to say for over ten years. My biggest challenge has always been my limiting beliefs and finishing my projects. I had the gift of coming up with great ideas, implementing them, but then I never completed what I started. I needed help. I found relief by putting into practice what I learned from the book, The Slight Edge written by Jeff Olson, I encourage you to look into it.

In addition to the slight edge by developing physically, mentally and spiritually I have overcome many obstacles. This journey of discovering treasures and revealing them to you is something that I started, and I am not planning on quitting anytime soon. It might evolve into something more significant, or not, but I am not going to let it die.

What resonated with me the most with the book, was the simple fact to chunk my work into manageable sizes and do a little every day. This helps me with work, personal, and even my spiritual growth. I schedule my day to do a little every day, that includes time for personal development, work, house chores, leisure time, family time, you get the picture. But, to give you the bite-size visual, below I share with how to do more by doing a little every day.

Mastering The Slight Edge

Baby Steps

Another way of looking at this is to visualize chunks, taking small steps, moving forward slowly and accomplishing more. It takes dedication and discipline, but it is doable. If you have a goal to read a book, just take ten pages a day, and before you know it, you have completed the book. Try it with everything that you do, start taking baby steps.

The Wanting

Why do you want to do the project? Knowing the why and having a clear intention, makes it easier for you to become disciplined and committed. Wanting something can be uncomfortable, but it is essential in this process.

Closing The Gap

This is when you analyze where you are and where you want to be. To close the gap, you must let go of where you are and start moving towards what you desire, what you want. That is why doing a little to move forward is essential.

In summary, step into the path of mastery by starting, it’s ok to fail, and it’s ok to make mistakes along the way, the magic here is in the journey. Reach out to me today for a deep coaching conversation.
