How To Reach A Blissful Loving State Of Mind

Nothing is more important than reconnecting with your bliss. Nothing is as rich. Nothing is more real. Deepak Chopra

As I investigate, research and practice self-awareness I keep running into the same theme. This weeks treasure is about the space between thoughts, the Gap. Many spiritual teachers like Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra and Dr. Wayne Dyer teach us this powerful state, I have come to realize that it is the fourth state of consciousness. Today I will share with you what it is and how to practice this blissful state of being.

I set aside time each day to do my daily meditation, my favorite time to reach that moment of clarity is early in the morning. The way I have mastered the experience is by quietly sitting in silence and purposefully paying attention to my thoughts. Eckhart Tolle suggests to relax and do breath meditation, and that’s what I do. What I find most beneficial is the clarity and joy that I feel, and I want to share it with you and the world.

What I want to share with you is that I understand that it’s not easy, that we all have constant thinking, judgment, fears and even hope. However, I have learned that thoughts of worry and fear add unnecessary burden to our minds and our daily lives. That is why learning how to find the gap between thoughts through meditation is a tool and a treasure that we all have to learn how to do.

It’s time to bring balance into your life, start by paying attention when one thought ends and the other is about to begin, that is the gap between thoughts. It takes practice, and it doesn’t matter how short the gaps are at first, your goal is to hold on to it as long as you possibly can.

3 simple steps to get you started:

Step 1. Find a comfortable place to sit, then sit and find your relaxed state. Then you are going to sit quietly for about 3-4 minutes. Close your eyes when you are ready and relax for about another minute. Take deep breaths in and out, breathing in through your nose and slowly releasing through your mouth.

Step 2. Continue taking deep breaths, Now purposefully direct your awareness to your breathing, what are you experiencing? Are your breaths slow? Are they rapid? Picture your lungs expand and contract. View it, see it and feel it.

Step 3. Now in this state, you will notice very little or no thought. If you do experience a thought capture it and lightly release it, and that is the space between thoughts.

Keep on practicing until you feel the bliss and joy this state brings; you will experience clarity.

In summary, your inner chatter if not controlled can cause delusions that in turn cause suffering, isn’t better to practice what spiritual teachers throughout time teach us to feel joy and love?
