How To Let Go Of Toxic And Negative Energies
“Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.” Swami Sivananda
Let’s dive right in into an uncomfortable subject, dealing with harmful and toxic energies. We all have experienced from time to time negativity in our lives. This weeks treasure is all about letting go of toxic energies. The moment you decide to take action towards releasing negativity around you, that’s when you will feel free.
My most recent memory of dealing with toxicity was in my previous job. I couldn’t get a hold of my surroundings; I was always dealing with coworkers talking bad about one another, or a particular person that was still causing some havoc in our daily lives. That to me was a very toxic environment. What I did next, was liberating. I decided that I needed to move on, and gracefully gave my two weeks notice and felt this massive weight lifted from my life.
Do you have a heavy chest walking into work, home or dealing with a particular person? When you decide to eliminate things or people that are causing you stress, you suddenly make room for things that make you happy. By letting go of toxicity in your life, you will feel more abundant, grateful and excited.
I know it’s easy for me to say, I understand. But, recognizing the reality of being in a state of love, freedom and joy can help you with your daily life, health, and decisions. I decided to share with you a couple of ways that you can start taking action towards a better way of life.
1. Analyze
Start asking yourself profound questions like, why am I here? Or what am I learning from this situation? These are trigger questions that will allow you to make better decisions about why and how you are going to deal with your next step.
2. Listen To Your Inner Voice
Your gut feeling will always steer you into a better feeling place. Think of it as your internal compass. Trust it completely; if you are not feeling right move on, you will thank yourself later.
3. Focus On Your Feelings
When your gut is speaking to you, it will do so with feelings, next time you walk into a room try to notice what you are feeling. If you walk into your home and you just had a fight with your spouse, doesn’t the silence feel like a wall hitting you in the face? The tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife, that’s energy. Focus on how you are feeling and work towards getting back to your better feeling place.
4. Practice Self-Care
Taking care of yourself seems so simple, yet we don’t take the time to take care of ourselves. Try mini timeouts for yourself, mini baths, mini spa days at home. I like to call them my very own spa day, that’s when I take care of my skin, my hair, my soul, my thoughts, I surround myself with scented candles, incense, perfume you name it, anything that brings a smile to my face and my soul. Take care of yourself. However, you choose but start today.
5. Practice A Guided Meditation
There are countless videos on youtube on guided meditations, search and find one that soothes your soul and helps you get into that deep guided space of deep relaxation. Practice taking deep breaths and remember all of these exercises is for you to focus on feeling happy, calm and in control. It starts with a decision to stop being around and entertaining toxic energies.
In summary, we will always encounter both negative and positive energies. The goal here is to identify and rectify immediately. Let’s keep life simple and start caring about ourselves first. Contact me today for a Life-Changing Coaching Chat.
