All About Reiki And It's Benefits, 5 Ways It Helps You Improve


By now you have seen and heard about my Wellbeing Treasure Chest.  My intention is to fill your treasure chest with treasures that enhance your wellbeing. One of them is Reiki.  I heard about Reiki in 2007.  Today I will share with you some fun facts about Reiki and how it can help you.  Let’s Fill up your Treasure Chest with pure love and healing energy.  If something makes you smile, it goes in, and soon you will fill it up with what matters most, and makes you happy.  

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.

After being introduced to Reiki, I did research and found it to be something that I wanted to pursue further.  That’s when I decided to get my Reiki I and II in 2013.  I practiced self Reiki to help me clear my mind, and feel the natural balance it offers. Several years passed and in 2015 I decided to share this healing energy with others and became a Reiki Master.  It continues to help me with headaches and my lower back pain.  I give myself Reiki right before going to bed to wind down and feel the calmness.  It helps me sleep.  Want to balance your mind? It’s fun to practice self Reiki, but after seeing and feeling the balance it offers, it only felt right to share it.  

Below You will find five facts about Reiki and the benefits it offers.  

1. Clears The Mind
How does Reiki clear your thoughts?  For example, if you are feeling overwhelmed, having racing thoughts and catching yourself overthinking, it can be exhausting.  Reiki helps by promoting calmness, it penetrates with positive energy and reduces the feeling of being overwhelmed, eventually clearing your mind. Practicing Reiki right before going to bed helps with a good night sleep.  

2. Releases Stress
Imagine coming home to chaos after a stressful day at work.  Have you ever experienced that?  All you want to do is sneak back outside and go to a quiet place and relax.  That sounds nice, but with Reiki, you can calm your mind and reduce the stress right at home.  Taking deep breaths and a self Reiki session can change how you feel if done with intention.  It might sound impossible, but it does help.

3. Lifts Negative Energy
Look around you; everything is energy.  A piece of furniture can transmit good or bad energy.  It is beneficial to give Reiki energy to your environment and lift any possible adverse energy that it might have.  By going room to room and giving Reiki energy to your home, you will feel the calmness.  It lifts any negative energy from all rooms in the home, allowing you and your family to feel happy (this is especially helpful if you have kids running around!)

4. Creates Balance
Do you believe in simplicity?  Keeping everything simple can help with balance. When you practice Reiki, you will feel balanced and in control.  Take the time to give Reiki energy to your work, mind, and home. Keep it simple, and experience living with positive energy around you.

5. Enhances Spiritual Growth
Reiki focuses on every living creature on earth.  When you get to connect with nature and positive people you grow spiritually.  Reiki is love, and it doesn’t harm anyone.  Are you willing to feel calmness and improve?  Then Reiki is for you.  

In summary, even though Reiki is designed to help every living thing on Earth, there are those that are skeptical and don’t believe.  That doesn’t matter; I only share what has helped me grow spiritually and has made me stronger and a better person.  You choose, you have the choice, choose only things that make you Happy.  Namaste.
