3 Simple Steps To Reprogram Your Mind With Positive Thoughts
Your mind doesn't stop because of all the information going around. Mostly the problem is with your negative thoughts. You are either thinking of a past problem or worse an issue that doesn’t even exist. Why? Because your subconscious is busy replaying your old unwanted thoughts.
I recently had a life changing and brilliant conversation with my niece and her friend. By sharing my story, I realized how much I had worked on reprogramming my mind and how it truly works. I shared with them my process, and I want to share that process with you. It all started a couple of years ago. I stumbled across you tube videos, and one stands out the most.
I watched Brendon Burchard, and his video is How To Reprogram Your Mind. The video was life changing for me. Not only did I watch the video, but I also transcribed it to practice and become an expert myself. Of Course, his process is elaborate and thorough but I made it my own. I want you to watch his video, put it into practice and you will see a difference. Don’t just follow his suggestions once. Keep at it and do it for thirty days. Eventually, you will overcome your negative thoughts and make it your own. Below I broke it down into three simple steps. I practice them every day, and it works.
I recognize the negative thought and stop it. Then I redirect the thinking and outsource it. And finally, I repeat the process.
Recognize
How many times do you catch yourself thinking? If you are not purposefully paying attention to what you are thinking, then you are not catching it. Just like Brendon says in his video “Take total control of your attention.” what are you thinking now? If it’s negative, stop it right on its track and change it immediately to a positive outcome. You must do this every day.
Redirect
Now I got creative. I recognize my negative thought then I send it right back to the universe. I like to call this outsourcing it. Yes, I outsource it. If I do not like my thought I say to it, you are not supporting me right now and I am giving it to the universe to deal with it. I don’t have time for you right now. It sounds silly, I know. But, it works for me. What Brendon taught me was to give it duration and attention. I just choose to give my attention to the positive outcomes. It works. You should try it.
Repeat
You made it through one more step, and it all boils down to repeating the above over and over again. Toss the toxic thoughts out. They do not serve you.
In summary, this has become one of my favorite subjects. It goes hand in hand with the spirituality that I practice. It’s all in the positive and to be a peak performer; you must be disciplined to change your negative thoughts into positive thoughts. Have a fantastic day. Until next week.
Much Love,
Coach Barb
