Reduce Stress and Feel Calmer With These 3 Simple Tips
Chaos is all around us.  With our families, our work, friends and our day to day things, it all can be overwhelming.  We all strive for less stress and feel the inner peace that we have deep inside of us.  How can we attain such calmness and reduce our day to day stress?
Like everyone, I too feel the pressure.  Between running late and meeting a deadline,  I usually feel it most when I’m running late.  That is why I try to give myself ample time for everything.  When I feel stressed, I always gravitate to learn from others.  I tend to learn and apply what I learn, but handling stress has always been a bit of a challenge.
How do you handle stress?  54 percent of Americans are concerned about the level of stress in their daily lives.  It’s different for all of us, but by acknowledging and working on it, you will find a way to manage it.
Remember there is such a thing as good stress, but by staying in that negative stress level for a long time, it does have negative consequences. It’s exciting to know that we can reduce the stress, I know that we can’t eliminate it, but we can cut it to allow us to feel good inside and continue to move forward with zest.
To create that balance to make you feel better, follow these three tips. First, be kind to yourself.  Second, don’t compare yourself to others and Lastly, focus on what makes you happy.

1. Be Kind To Yourself

This sounds simple, right?  It is, but at the same time, it is the most difficult. Because if you are like me, you are trying to please everyone and slightly or entirely forget about yourself.  The one way you can start is to ask yourself, what do I want to do today? Find that one thing that you have meant to do and make time for yourself.  Stop the negative talk, about your weight, your looks, your home.  Just enjoy what you have.  Take a day of only compliments, and start with yourself.  Compliment everything you do and say it to yourself.  Repeat beautiful things about yourself to yourself.

2.  Don’t Compare Yourself to Others

So what, they have what you want.  Remember, that we are all different and nobody has power over you.  By comparing yourself, you are gravitating to lack, and you do not want to attract lack.  Always be thankful for what you have and don’t even compare yourself with skills, material things, relationships everything.  Just focus on you, it is what’s going to make you feel healthy and peaceful.

3.  Focus On What Makes You Happy

Is it music, art or cooking?  Focus on what makes you happy.  Write a list of about ten things that make you euphoric. And start to work on planning on how to execute them, it could be daily or a long term plan. But, pick one thing from that list and apply it to your daily routine.  Stay calm when things get tough and do that one thing every day that makes you happy.
In summary, It’s a tall order to think that we can find that balance by being kind to ourselves, by not comparing ourselves to others and by focusing on what makes us happy.  It’s a tall order, but it’s a definite must to find that inner calmness.
